Dr Jacqueline Drew is an Associate Professor with the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Griffith University and holds PhD in Organisational Psychology. Jacki has over 25 years of experience as a police psychologist and researcher. Her work focuses on organisational practices and experiences in policing, specifically police mental health, suicide, leadership, career paths of women police and recruitment and retention. Jacki was awarded an Australian Research Council (Linkage) Grant (with Queensland Police Service) to develop an early warning system for mental health, wellbeing and performance of police personnel. She translated this research into several organisational programs for police officers and leaders, taking a preventative approach to psychosocial hazards and risks. Jacki works internationally with law enforcement, co-leading a national (US) biennial survey research program with the National Fraternal Order of Police. This research examines critical issues in policing and their impact on the mental health and workplace experiences of law enforcement personnel.
