Jade
PRASSER

I am a Bachelor of Criminology and Justice graduate from the University of the Sunshine Coast. I have a strong personal and professional focus on child safety, child exploitation, and restorative justice. My work has spanned both practical and research-based roles, including residential youth work supporting vulnerable children and direct engagement in child protection projects.
My hands-on experience includes providing 24/7 support in residential care settings, developing individual care plans, and implementing behavioral interventions to create safe, supportive environments for young people. I have also worked in early childhood settings and family violence support services, reinforcing my commitment to the wellbeing and safety of children.
Alongside my frontline experience, I have contributed to university-led research projects focused on child sexual exploitation and child safety within various environments, and worked with the Sexual Violence Research and Prevention Unit, conducting literature reviews on restorative justice responses to sexual violence. I am passionate about using research to inform policy and create meaningful change in systems that support and protect victims and offenders.
