TYLER

Matt Tyler is Executive Director of The Men�s Project at Jesuit Social Services where he has led work to prevent child sexual abuse, reduce violence and promote flourishing amongst men and boys themselves. Since April 2019, he has overseen the design, implementation and advocacy of significant research as well as program related efforts to prevent child sexual abuse including the establishment of Stop it Now! � Australia�s first helpline for adults worried about their own or someone else�s sexual thoughts / behaviour towards children. Prior to joining Jesuit Social Services, he worked as a Fellow for Harvard�s Government Performance Lab focused on child protection and he has also previously worked on reforms to family violence services and child protection in Australia. He brings a passion for community service including as Strategic Board member for Childlight�s East Asia and Pacific Hub, a Board Member of the Menzies Foundation and a stint representing his community as a local Mayor. He is trained as an economist with a particular focus on translating research into practice, holding a Master of Public Policy from Harvard�s Kennedy School and Honours in Economics from Monash University where he was awarded the University Medal.
