McVEY

Dr Laura McVey is a Principal Research Analyst with the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC). Her work with the AIC focusses on the online sexual exploitation of children, including children and adolescents’ experiences of online spaces and emerging technologies. Laura’s work at the AIC builds upon her previous role at the eSafety Commissioner, where she contributed to research and policy on technology-facilitated abuse against women and children. Laura has also worked across family, domestic and sexual violence services, as well as academia – with her PhD focused on violence against women and girls in the user-generated pornography market. Her research is published in a range of academic journals, and she has co-authored multiple book chapters and industry reports
