Detective Brevet Sergeant Jake O’Callaghan has been a Covert Online Police Operative within Sout Australia’s Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (JACET), a South Australian Police and Australian Federal Police joint taskforce combatting internet-based child exploitation crimes, for the last 8 years. He has worked within sex-crimes for 11 years having been designated Detective for 14 years, and working for the South Australian Police for 19 years.

In that time, he has undertaken 100+ successful covert engagements with Child Sex Offenders from South Australia, across Australia and Internationally, saving many children from harm. He is the principal trainer for Covert Online Child Sex Investigations in SAPOL and has conducted training for other states and territories in this field.
