Chris Roberds is a Detective with the Grass Valley Police Department, where he has worked for approximately 7 years. He has spent 5 years in the Strategic Response Unit, where he created the department's digital forensics program. The primary role of the program is to conduct child exploitation investigations and assist other investigators with digital forensics. Chris has attended numerous classes for digital forensics through the California Department of Justice Advanced Training Center. He holds certificates from the Robert Presley Institute of Criminal Investigation for Computer and Internet Crimes Investigations and is a certified Mobile Device Examiner through the U.S. Secret Service National Computer Forensics Institute. In 2024, Chris partnered with the Nevada County District Attorney's Office to form a high-tech task force that serves the digital forensics needs of the region.
