How Law Enforcement, NGOs, and Tech Are Tackling Online Child Exploitation Together
Online child sexual exploitation investigations are becoming more complex; driven by rapid advances in technology and offender tradecraft. No single agency or sector can solve these challenges alone.
This session brings together perspectives from law enforcement, NGOs, and technologists to explore what becomes possible when we tackle these problems collaboratively.
Grounded in real investigative challenges, we will focus on several critical areas:
● Emerging threats: How offenders are leveraging AI-generated CSAM and evolving tactics to evade detection
● Accessing critical evidence: Practical approaches and limitations when working with encrypted apps
● Scaling investigations: Strategies and tools to triage and prioritize proactive and reactive investigations more efficiently while reducing investigator workload and trauma
Through real-world examples and operational insights, we will demonstrate how cross-sector collaboration has led to new tools, workflows, and investigative approaches that accelerate victim identification (and their offenders) and improve outcomes.
