Beyond the App: Collaborating with Law Enforcement to Keep Communities Safe

Technology platforms and law enforcement serve different functions, but we share a common goal: safer communities. At Uber, our commitment to Stand for Safety means working with police and other agencies whether an incident occurs on or off our platform. This talk will share how Uber collaborates with law enforcement in practice – from data-sharing frameworks and rapid response processes to prevention initiatives focused on young people’s safety. By walking through real examples, we will explore what has worked, where we’ve had to adapt, and how we balance safety, privacy and trust. The session will highlight opportunities for deeper collaboration between technology companies and law enforcement so we can achieve public safety outcomes together that none of us could deliver alone.
