Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) investigations demand evidence that is fast, focused, and defensible. This session walks through three real-world scenarios that show how on-scene digital forensics turns a smartphone into court-ready evidence in minutes. With a suspect's device, a rapid block-hash scan against reference CSAM sets flags matching files so investigators can acquire them as evidence on the spot. With a victim's device, the focus shifts to restraint: instead of seizing the whole phone, investigators selectively capture only the relevant evidence of abuse, illegal filming, or coercion through automated messenger screen-scroll recording, OCR, and translation, leaving unrelated personal data untouched. And throughout both, connecting an external camera or screen-mirroring device records the entire process preserving an unbroken chain of custody from scene to courtroom. Attendees will leave knowing how to find faster, capture cleaner, and prove stronger, exactly where it counts.
