Dr. Stacy Cecchet, Ph.D., ABPP, is a forensic and operational psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting law enforcement, investigative units, and specialized teams at the local, federal, and international levels. She is embedded with Washington's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and provides consultation, training, and operational support for agencies involved in complex child exploitation investigations, including dark web and covert online investigations.
Dr. Cecchet specializes in behavioural analysis, offender typologies, investigative strategy, online under cover engagement, interview planning, psychosexual risk assessment, and the application of psychological science to ICAC and child exploitation cases. Her work helps investigators better understand offender motivation, grooming behaviour, victim access strategies, escalation risk, deception patterns, suspect interview opportunities, victim identification, and covert online engagement.
In addition to ICAC-focused case consultation and training, Dr. Cecchet supports law enforcement wellness, human performance optimization, and operational readiness for personnel exposed to high-severity investigative material.
