Dr Shaunagh Downing

Dr. Shaunagh Downing is a researcher and machine learning specialist at CameraForensics, where she focuses on the impact of AI on child protection. Her research involves understanding and mitigating the threats posed by generative AI, as well as exploring opportunities for AI to speed up and improve victim identification. She has delivered specialised training to Law Enforcement on emerging technologies and the threats they pose. Shaunagh has degrees in mathematics and physics, as well as a PhD in applied machine learning, and is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to safeguard children and advance the fields of image forensics and ethical AI.
