Jarryd is an Australian Federal Police (AFP) officer with extensive leadership and investigative experience spanning community policing, national investigations, and international operations. Currently serving as an AFP Liaison Officer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia he delivers AFP priorities through intelligence sharing, operational engagement and capability uplift with various Malaysian and foreign law enforcement partners, providing forward-looking advice to the AFP and Australian whole-of-government stakeholders on emerging criminal threats impacting Australia.
Throughout his 20-year career with the AFP, Jarryd has led complex, high-risk investigations and multi-agency taskforces targeting transnational criminal threats, including online child sexual exploitation, terrorism, and serious organised crime. As a member of ACT Policing, Jarryd led cold case, homicide and armed robbery investigations and is regularly engaged to provide insights and training to developing AFP investigators through the detective training continuum. Jarryd has been recognised as a leader within the AFP, representing the agency a various domestic and international law enforcement platforms and has spent years developing cooperative relationships with private industry to enhance investigative outcomes.
