Megan Hanlon is the victim identification specialist for Project Arachnid, an innovative set of tools to help reduce the availability of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online, created by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P). With over 15 years with Cybertip.ca, Canada's tipline for reporting online child sexual exploitation, she brings unique knowledge and expertise crucial to the operation of Project Arachnid and her work with law enforcement.
Megan collaborates with law enforcement partners around the world, supporting child exploitation investigations and victim identification. She also works with law enforcement across Canada to ensure victims of CSAM are heard in court and the impact of online child exploitation is taken into consideration at sentencing.
Megan regularly speaks on C3P tools and resources to help support law enforcement and victims/survivors of CSAM. She has presented at law enforcement conferences across North America and is passionate about supporting victim identification and helping law enforcement navigate complex challenges through innovation and collaboration.
