ICMEC Australia

Dannielle Kelly is the Head of Government Affairs and Law Enforcement Outreach at ICMEC Australia, bringing more than 17 years of law enforcement experience including significant time within the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE). Now at ICMEC Australia, Danni drives cross-sector collaboration between law enforcement, government, industry and academia to strengthen child protection nationally and internationally. She convenes the Safer AI for Children Coalition, a multi-stakeholder initiative focused on addressing AI-enabled risks to children and leads a research partnership with the University of Queensland examining the economic cost of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Danni works closely with ministers, regulators and senior government officials to advance legislative reform, funding and policy responses to online child exploitation, with a particular focus on ensuring the rapid development of AI is matched by strong safeguards for children. Her approach is grounded in connecting frontline law enforcement experience to the policy decisions that shape national and international responses.
