Dr Sarah Napier is Research Manager of the Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC) Research Program at the Australian Institute of Criminology. She conducts research into child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), including live streaming of child sexual abuse, sextortion, and effectiveness of CSEA prevention programs. The purpose of Sarah's research is to understand offending behaviour and the needs of survivors to inform prevention and disruption of CSEA. Sarah holds a PhD in Criminology from the University of Sydney, which focused on pathways to CSEA offending. She has also conducted research into sexual offences among juveniles, the effectiveness of public sex offender registries, family and domestic violence, and drug use.
