Svetlana Palmer

Detective Sergeant Palmer has been a sworn member of the Australian Federal Police since 2003, and has worked in Child Protection for a large part of her policing career. In 2019, she took up the position as the Team Leader of the ACCCE Victim Identification Unit, and currently leads a team of victim identification specialists responsible for developing victim identification capability around the country.

Prior to her role in victim identification, Lana worked in the AFP’s Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Teams in Darwin and Melbourne, and also has experience in human trafficking investigations, online covert investigations, and digital forensics.
