Kindred Tech

Peter is the DevOps Architect at Kindred Tech, a New Zealand-based startup delivering advanced investigative technology to law enforcement and child-protection organisations worldwide.

Based in Auckland, Peter has spent more than 20 years working in the fight against online child exploitation, including 15 years as an investigator within the Department of Internal Affairs' Censorship Compliance Unit. During this time, he established the Censorship Special Projects group, leading national and international initiatives to combat online child abuse and modernise investigative practice.

His close collaboration with covert teams provided deep insight into technology-driven offender identification and victim-rescue methods. He contributed significantly to multiple high-profile operations, including Operation Wisha, Rhodes, Artemis and Aperis.

Peter holds an M.Sc with First Class Honours from University College Dublin and remains focused on both practical innovation and academic advancement in the global effort to counter online child exploitation.
