Eric Pinkerton

Eric Pinkerton is a Detective Sergeant with the Ontario Provincial Police. He began his law enforcement career in 2007, serving in a frontline policing capacity. In 2013, he transitioned to the Digital Forensics Unit as a Detective Constable and Forensic Analyst, specializing in Child Sexual Abuse Material investigations.

In 2018, Eric took on an investigative role focusing on child sexual abuse cases by joining the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit. He was promoted to Detective Sergeant in 2020 within that same unit, he supervises the Darknet Disruption Team, a specialized team targeting offenders operating within the anonymity of the dark web.
