Sonny Von Cleveland is a survivor - and everything he does flows from that truth. Having experienced exploitation and trauma firsthand, he understands the journey from victim to voice in ways few can. After 18 years of incarceration, he emerged to tell that story through his award-winning memoir, Hey White Boy: Conversations of Redemption, earning Congressional Recognition and honours from the U.S. House of Representatives and the California State Senate.
As founder of The Von Cleveland Foundation, Sonny has dedicated himself to empowering marginalized communities and formerly incarcerated individuals through mindset coaching, juvenile mentorship, and an unshakable belief in redemption.
Now serving as Director of Public Engagement & Content at Our Rescue, he brings lived experience to the front lines of the fight against child exploitation - turning personal pain into purpose, and purpose into action.
